As a rule, the pupil under two and a half years, are not admitted.
Candidates are registered for admission on the purchase of the application form. The parent and the candidate are interviewed, where the presence of the father of the candidate is essential.
The birth certificate has to be produced for admission till the first standard. The document requested for admission become the property of the school and are not returned on any account.
All those students who are seeking admissions from second to twelfths standard will have to appear for the entrance test. If they pass this test, and if there is a vacant seat, they will have to bring their transfer certificate, countersigned by the relevant authority, only then will the admission be done.
A calendar month’s notice is to be given before the withdrawal of a pupil or else the fees for that month will be charged. Such notice should be given in writing by the parent/ guardian and not by the pupil himself/ herself.
When once admitted in the school by paying the fees, if the student disagrees to attend the classes, the fees will not be refunded back, on any account.
The principal reserves rights of requiring the withdrawal of any pupil.

ADMISSION POLICY

Douglas will in the years that lie ahead endeavor to play its own vital role in the reconstruction of society in India by providing access to a quality education for all pupils on merit. We will not cling to that of the past that needs to change but guided by our traditions and values we will create a new. The Admission Policy of Douglas School is determined by the Governing Body and the education Department. Douglas caters firstly for pupils for whom it is the nearest School. More applications are received than the school can accommodate, then admission will be given on first come first admission basis.

Application Forms can be obtained from the Admission Desk.

  4. All those students who are seeking admissions from IInd to XIIth Std. will have to appear for the Entrance Test. If they pass this test, and if there is a vacant seat, they will have to bring their transfer Certificate, counter-signed by the relevant authority, only then will the admission be done.
